High Accuracy Multipole Strip Magnet for Linear Position Measurement


Elk Grove Village, Illinois – Dexter Magnetic Technologies, Inc. has announced a new line of multipole strip magnets for use with the austriamicrosystems line of high resolution linear Hall encoders. The multipole magnet, manufactured from a flexible ferrite, is produced through a repeatable proprietary method which yields accuracy within 2.0 % of the pole pair (40 µm for 1.0 mm pole). The cumulative pole accuracy is within 1.0 % per 10 mm. Variohm EuroSensor has added a new range of single chip digital temperature sensors for SMT assembly to its wide range temperature measurement solutions. The TSYS01 series from Measurement Specialities includes a factory calibrated temperature sensing chip and a 24-bit ADC to provide highly accurate and high resolution temperature information when interfaced to a microcontroller via its SPI or I2C interface.
