Fully Integrated DC/DC Converter for Intelligent Sensor Systems
From just one chip and a variable input
voltage of 4 V to 36 V iC-DC generates two stabilized output voltages
that can be adjusted between 1.5 V and 5.5 V for the compact voltage
supply of industrial sensors and small subsystems. The combination of
switching converter plus two back-end linear regulators minimizes the
amount of space required for the power pack and achieves a good residual
ripple of typically 10 mVpp – ideal for the supply of precision analog
circuits

The TruStability® NSC Series offers a
ratiometric analog output for reading pressure over the specified full
scale pressure span and temperature range. Because they are
uncompensated and unamplified, they offer infinite resolution on the
pressure signal. The frequency response is limited only by the end
user’s system. Ranging from 1 psi to 150 psi (60 mbar to 10 bar), these
sensors will operate as specified from -40 °C to 85 °C [-40 °F to 185
°F]. They are available in absolute, differential, and gage types

Flight Test Accelerometer Utilizing Standard Aircraft On-Board Voltage
Chatsworth, CA – Dytran Instruments,
Inc. has introduced the 3326A series of low noise accelerometers,
ideally suited for use in flight testing applications. A distinguishing
feature of the 3326A series is that the accelerometers are compatible
with standard aircraft onboard power supplies (+20 to +32 VDC). Units
are part of Dytran’s line of VDC powered instrumentation, and as such,
may be compatible with existing installations from other manufacturer’s
which use similar principles

Liquid Flow Sensor for Low-volume Dosing Applications
Swiss sensor manufacturer Sensirion is launching a flow sensor for flow rates below 2 cc/sec (120 ml/min) with hydrocarbon-based liquids such as photoresists and solvents. Designed for use in high-purity fluid handling applications in the semiconductor, PV and flat panel display industries, the new SLQ-QT105 sensor features a short measurement response time of approximately 40 ms and very high sensitivity for flow rates down to 0.05 cc/sec (3 ml/min). Detection of air bubbles in the microliter range is also possible ...

Sensor Signal Conditioner IC for Automotive, Industrial Automation and White Goods Applications
ZMD AG has introduced the ZSSC3008 sensor
signal conditioning integrated circuit (IC). The ZSSC3008 is a
cost-effective solution for resistive bridge sensor systems that require
second-order linearity correction for a wide range of sensors.
"Customers using the ZSSC3008 benefit from its non-linear compensation
feature for improved accuracy" says Steve Ramdin, ZMDI product manager.
"This compensation feature, for example, makes it possible to use less
expensive transducers, providing customers in industrial, medical and
automotive markets with solutions that are high performance and cost
effective." The ZSSC3008 is optimized for those applications with
sensors that do not require temperature compensation because they have
an intrinsically low temperature coefficient (TC)

User-Friendly, Cost-Effective CA-6 Online Analyzer for Phosphate Measurement
The easy-to-use and economical CA-6 Online
Analyzer from Electro-Chemical Devices uses colorimetric analyses to
accurately and reliably measure phosphate and total phosphate levels.
The CA-6 Analyzer is available in models measuring phosphate at 0-5.0
mg/L, 0-50.0 mg/L or 0-200 mg/L and total phosphate at 0-2.0 mg/L,
0-20.0 mg/L or 0-100 mg/L. Phosphate and total phosphate levels are
important indicators of water quality. Sources of phosphates include
sewage, industrial waste and fertilizers. Excessive phosphates can lead
to extensive algae growth called “blooms” which can have serious
ecological consequences
