Digital Sensors and Sensor Sysstems

Abstract: This paper presents the design and development of an embedded system for the measurement of environmental parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure and the gas pollutants like CO, CO2, NH3, SO2, and NO2 present in air. The system is developed around an advanced ARM processor (LPC2378) by interfacing the relevant sensors. The data sensed by the sensors is displayed on a 2 ´ 16 LCD and also sent to a PC by using a wireless module. A graphical user interface is developed using the Visual basic software for the analysis of data. The results are discussed in detail.
