Dear Readers and Authors !

It is my great pleasure to present ten best articles published in our Sensors & Transducers Journal (ISSN 1726-5479) in 2008. In this year 12 regular and two special issues: Modern SensingTechnologies (selected papers from the 2nd International Conference on Sensing Technology (ICST 2007), Palmerston North, New Zealand, 26-28 November 2007) and Microsystems: Technology and Applications (selected papers from the 11th Annual NSTI Nanotechnology Conference, Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, 1-5 June 2008) were published. The journal's e-Impact Factor for 2008 is 205.767. At this year a proposal for articles selection was sent to our 8 editors and 299 editorial board members (from academia and industry) from 47 countries. The criterion was the same as in 2006-2007: novelty, innovation, outstanding new research and current importance. We have got a good feedback and I would like thanks to all editors and editorial board members who help us in this very important matter. At the first selection stage 76 articles were nominated and at the second stage ten best articles were chosen on the majority basis. All selected articles are shown in the table below. You can download its full pages versions free of charges. All authors of selected articles will receive the certificate from the International Frequency Sensor Association (IFSA). Of course, taking into account a big number of very good articles published in Sensors & Transducers Journal in 2008 no all of them can be included into the 10 top list of the best articles, but all are available on the Journal's CD.

I hope you will enjoy these selected articles.

Sincerely,
