 Soft Bio-sensing Technologies

It is my great pleasure to invite you to consider submitting original research papers, critical survey articles and short notes for possible publication in our Sensors & Transducers (ISSN: 2306-8515,
e-ISSN 1726-5479) journal's issue devoted to “SOFT BIO-SENSING TECHNOLOGIES”. The purpose of this special issue is to present original articles and papers that give an overview of current progress of research, development, improvement and applications of soft bio-sensing technologies. Soft bio-sensing concerns flexible and/or stretchable technologies that can be employed for on body, unobtrusive and ambulatory biomedical parameter monitoring. These technologies have the potential to enable daily life monitoring systems and wearable and/or implantable devices for a wide range of applications.

Original papers on innovative sensing principles, new materials and components arrangement, sensor configurations and architecture, theoretical works or both theoretical and experimental works are welcome to this issue.

Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  • Wearable bio-medical sensors

  • Implantable devices

  • Biosensors

  • Bio-robotics

  • Bioelectrodes and bioelectronics

  • Unobtrusive physiological sensing

  • Unobtrusive sensing of human movement/activity

  • Human-machine interaction and human-robot interaction

  • Manufacturing techniques

  • Data processing and data fusion

  • Innovative applications

Sensors & Transducers is established, international, peer-reviewed, open access journal (print and electronic). It provides the best platform for the researchers and scientist worldwide to exchange their latest findings and results in science and technology of physical, chemical sensors and biosensors. Since 2000, the journal publishes original results of scientific and research works related to strategic and applied studies in all aspects of sensors: reviews, regular research and application specific papers, and short notes.

Sensors & Transducers journal has a very high publicity. It is indexed and abstracted very quickly by Chemical Abstracts, EBSCO Publishing, IndexCopernicus Journals Master List (ICV=6.13 in 2011), Open J-Gate, ProQuest Science Journals, CAS Source Index (CASSI), Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, Scirus, Google Scholar, etc. Since 2011 to 2014 Sensors & Transducers journal was covered and indexed by EI Compendex (CPX) index (including a Scopus, Embase, Engineering Village and Reaxys) in Elsevier products. The journal is included in the IFSA List of Recommended Journals (up-dated 9.12.2014), which contains only the best, established sensors related journals.

The global Impact Factor of the journal is 0.705 (2013).

The main reasons to publish your article in Sensors & Transducers journal:

  1. Quick publication: 2-3 months from submission for standard publications and 1 month from submission for rapid publications. Articles received are immediately processed adopting fastest method to arrive at the final decision.

  2. Very reasonable publication fee, which is dependent on country's economy.

  3. No space constraints: number pages per article is not limited.

  4. Transparent and high standard international peer review by experienced international reviewers.

  5. High visibility of your research (circulation 54,000 +).

  6. Substantial publishing experience: thousands of articles have been successfully published since 2000.

  7. Complementary full page journal's issue in pdf format.

  8. The first full color sensor related journal in the World.

With above background, it is a pleasure for me to invite you to consider submitting an original research papers, critical survey articles and short notes for possible publication in our Sensors & Transducers journal's Soft Bio-sensing Technologies
