Moscow
 
The 3rd International Conference on Sensors and Electronic Instrumentation Advances (SEIA' 2017) will be held in Moscow - the capital of the Russian Federation (Russia).
Area: 17.1 million square kilometers (water: 0.7 sq.km; land: 16.4 sq.km). Population: 12.9 million (2016). Moscow is one of the most famed capital in the world. It is often 
chosen to host international conferences and exhibitions.
 
Moscow is easily reached by air, rail and road. The Moscow City business center is easily reached using the road system or public transport (metro) upon arrival in the city.

Currency
 
The official monetary unit in Russia is the Ruble (RUB). You are recommended to take $ US or Euros; they can be exchanged at banks, hotels and kiosks. There are many ATM 
machines around the city to withdraw cash, and almost all restaurants/shops accept credit cards. It is not recommended to take traveler’s cheques with you to Russia.
 
 
Airports
 
There are 3 international airports with distance to the Conference hotel Novotel Moscow City: 
  • Sheremetyevo - 32 km
  • Domodedovo - 48.5 km
  • Vnukovo - 34 km
You can easily reach the city center with the comfortable Aeroexpress trains. It will take about 35-45 minutes. The timetable of trains running to all three main airports is available at the following link:

GMT + 3 for Moscow (GMT +4 in Winter time) 
 
 
Electricity
220 V/50 Hz. The plug is two-pin thin European standard. Make sure you bring your own converter as most places do not provide them.
 
 
Tips
Tips are not necessary but highly appreciated. Usually it should cover 5-10 % of the bill, depending on the level of service.
