International Frequency Sensor Association (IFSA) is one of the major professional, non-profit association serving for sensor industry and academy since 1999. It has been founded on 23 August 1999 and registered by the Union of International Associations (UIA) in 2000.
Aim and Objectives
The main aim of IFSA is to provide the best platform for academicians, researchers and engineers from industry to present and discuss the latest research results, experiences and future trends in the area of design and application of different intelligent, smart sensors with digital, frequency (period), duty-cycle, PWM, time interval, phase-shift or pulse number output.
Very fast advances in IC technologies brought new challenges in the physical design of integrated sensors and MEMS. This development is essential for developing modern measurement science and technology in the nearest future. Unfortunately, there were no conference, journal or Internet resource devoted solely to these particular subjects. On the basis of the mentioned above it has been decided to start international cooperation in the frame of IFSA by providing an appropriate infrastructure.
IFSA Membership
IFSA membership is open to all companies, universities, organizations and individuals world-wide, that are able to contribute expertise in sensor relevant areas. To apply for IFSA membership, please complete the on-line form on this Web portal (section Membership). Today there are 750+ members from 74 countries and 6 continents (59 % are from industry, 40 % - from universities and 1 % from research institutions).
Partnerships
IFSA is an ideal partner for many European Projects due to its outstanding abilities for project results dissemination over the world and transfer research results to industry. Our majority members are from European Member States or Associated countries, and our principal objective is to promote scientific and technological cooperation in Europe.
